average speed of 304.7 mph!
ISN'T IT STUNNING? The 1,600 horsepower quad-turbocharged engine is truly
a feat of engineering perfection. At speeds this high, every bit of engineering
counts. Bugatti even had to have the performance tires x-rayed to ensure they
were up to the task of handling reaching nearly one-half of mach one.

#2: SSC Tuatara hypercar ONCE held #1 position with a self-reported top speed
of 316 mph, but those numbers didn't hold up to scrutiny. SSC still enjoys a
solid history of fast cars and their SSC Tuatara still managed to take the
number two slot after an independent test.
A US company, SSC North America, admitted that the SSC Tuatara didn't
even break 301 mph! This car averaged 282.9 mph.
The result of a full decade of development and testing, the SSC Tuatara is the
heir to the Ultimate Aero, which held the Guinness World Record for
'Fastest Production Car in the World' from 2007-2010.
The Tuatara is now packing a twin-turbocharged 5.9-liter V8 engine, and you can
hear it in action as the Tuatara stretches its legs on an empty road.

#3: The Bugatti Veyron (2004) at 252.2 MPH, 1001 BHP WAS without a doubt the King of Speed.

Powered by an 8.0-litre engine, the 1888kg Veyron Pur Sang has a
top speed of 407km/h. At top speed a full fuel tank will be emptied
in only 12 minutes. The 16-cylinder engine has four turbochargers
and delivers an amazing 1001 horsepower to all four wheels. That's
about 736kW @ 6000rpm.
The huge W16 engine belts out 1250Nm at 2200rpm.
#4: Koenigsegg CCX (2006) 250 MPH, 900 BHP is a futuristic looking car!

Priced at $1,000,000 in 1994, it was a formula one inspired car for the roads.
The McLaren F1 is unique amongst all cars in that the driver sits in a central
seat with two smaller passenger seats to the side.
In March 1999, a computer millionaire died after crashing his F1 into a tree on the A120 in Great Dunmow, Essex. Apparently, parts of the car were found up to a quarter of a mile from the crash site.
