God Moves When You Move

Even so faith [pistis - believing] if it hath not works [action], is dead, being alone. - James 2: 17

What people don't realize today is that they are God's hands, legs and mouth. Until you believe and act upon God's Word, God will not move. As said many times in the world, you will believe it when you see it. But with God, you will see it when you believe it. It's just the opposite of what the world teaches and that is just the norm.

When you ACT upon God's Word, THEN you will see results. You can pray until you are blue in the face, but unless you act on what you are praying about, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

As the Scripture says, believing without action is dead or worthless, being by itself. Again, God reiterates:

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith [believing] without works [action] is dead also. - James 2: 26

When God says something twice, He establishes that fact.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. - Genesis 41: 32

Man's basic spiritual problem is the integrity and accuracy of God's Word. Most people today do not even read the Bible, but put everything else before God. This is modern-day idolatry. This presents quite a problem. How can man take action on something he isn't even aware of? This is the state that the world is in today and it is getting worse and worse and worse. We have been promised many great things by God Almighty if we adhere to and obey His Word.

Whereby [by which] are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [getting worse, and worse, and worse] that is in the world through lust [over-desire]. - II Peter 1: 4

Because the world is getting worse and worse and worse, that should not affect our more than abundant life with God…………… IF we are applying the Word in our lives. It is not enough just to believe - we must act. THEN God can move. THEN you will see signs, miracles and wonders in your life. As I have heard it said: We need to take our foot off the hose. We limit God greatly in our life by our lack of believing and lack of action. So why don't' we just stop? It really is that simple if you get honest with yourself. God gave us free will - the ability to act in whatever way we please.

You might want to refer to the teachings on 'Believing' before you proceed any farther. Jesus Christ summed up the law of believing in one verse.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. - Matthew 21: 22

You must believe and there are two sides to believing - positive and negative. On the positive side you have confidence, trust, faith (believing). On the negative side, you have doubt, worry, fear. Believing equals receiving. You CANNOT believe on the positive side UNLESS you study and apply God's Word. The devil is now the god of this world so he will bring you only doubt, worry, and fear.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. - II Corinthians 4: 4

I've got to tell it like it is. If you are not studying and applying God's Word every day, you are living for the devil. He will get all the use he can out of you and then toss you aside and destroy you. You have everything to gain by studying and applying God's Word and nothing to lose. God's Word is our blueprint for living.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. - Ecclesiastes 12: 13

CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?! CAN GOD PUT IT ANY SIMPLER? Keeping the commandments of God is the complete duty of man. Man has no other true alternative with the exception of suffering every day, but to adhere to and become addicted to God's Word which is God's Will. That is our blueprint for living. When we do this, we can believe in a positive manner and therefore act in a positive manner and then God can move as we move. If we speak God's Word, God can plant seeds and He can move. If we are afraid to speak His Word, we limit God and we also face negative consequences. Here is the clincher. The only thing that will remove fear from a man or woman's life IS God's Word. God is trying to help us all the time while the devil is trying to destroy us - your vote determines the election. But don't take my word for it. How do we learn to believe positively?

Every born-again believer gets the faith of Jesus Christ. Everyone gets the same amount and you can't get anymore. Let's examine these two verses before we get further into the 'faith of Jesus Christ'.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. -- Romans 10: 9, 10

This is how you receive the 'faith of Jesus Christ'. This faith makes it available for you to BELIEVE. This ability increases the more and more as you study God's Word.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. - Romans 10: 17

You won't get faith by watching the evening news or reading Newsweek or Reader's Digest. You'll get it by reading one thing - THE WORD OF GOD. Believe and speak the Word of God and it will yield the same results that it produced at any time in the history of civilization. To the extent that we abide in the Word of God, that Word takes the Master's place in our lives. We will become more and more like Jesus Christ and continue destroying the works of the devil until Christ comes back. As you can see, the greater our believing and action on the Word, the more God can move. But again, don't take my word for it. That is what's different about this web site. The Word of God is the center of reference for all learning - nothing but the Word.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - II Timothy 2: 15

The phrase 'rightly dividing' are two words used together only once in the New Testament. It means a perfectly right cutting, not guesswork, which is referred to in the Word as private interpretation. Again, we do not 'water down' God's Word at this site. We speak and teach the Word and nothing but the Word. Some search engines won't pick me up because my site is purposely plain and simple. There are no dating services, fancy bells and whistles, no banners and billboards and no apologies! When called by God to teach the path of life as compared to the world's path of death, I THINK WE SHOULD BE SERIOUS about it. I was going to say you know where those search engines could go, but they are already there. I don't dislike anyone, but truth is truth. Tell it like it is. It's a good song by 'Heart'. Don't let the adversary scare you. Oftentimes he is just roaring and he can't bite you when he is roaring. If he scares you to where you won't move on God's Word, then he's got you. So the more Word you know and apply, the less fear you will have in your life and the more God can move AND the more you will experience the more than abundant life. Are there people that teach half-truths and water down and corrupt God's Word?

For we are not as many, which corrupt [water down] the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. - II Corinthians 2: 17

You will find many on television [better have your pocketbook handy], many on the radio, many on pulpits and many so-called youth movements for Christ. Do you know what waving your hands up in the air and yelling and screaming like a bunch of mentally ill people accomplishes? NOTHING! YOU HAVE GOT TO ASK YOURSELF:

Where is the Word of God?

How much of the Word of God have you heard? How much of the Word have you been taught? The boob-tube preachers like to talk and tell a lot of stories - have you noticed? The kids are jumping up and down and waving hands AND praying ALL AT ONE TIME. You wonder why people stay away from so-called Christianity. Who is behind all this? Don't you know? I saw this on television lately - a bunch of idiots being outrightly deceived and why. They don't know one simple Scripture.

Let all things be done decently and in order. - I Corinthians 14: 40

What does that mean? IT MEANS DECENT AND IN ORDER.

For God is not the author [a God] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. - I Corinthians 14: 33

God is a God of peace and order. Where?! In all churches of the saints. Since there is nothing but confusion and deception in so many of these so-called movements and ministries, their source CANNOT be the true God, but the counterfeit God of this world. Does it make sense? Has it sunk in? I am trying to protect you from these devilish influences. Excuse my anger if it appears that way. Build on your strong points you've learned from the Word of God and remember, the renewed mind is built one brick at a time. It takes a long time, but it gets a little better each day and you become a little stronger each day. Then you can tell your adversary to stay in hell and away you. By putting God FIRST, you allow God to move in your life.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. - Matthew 6: 33

What things shall be added unto us? Go back to verse 28 and there God begins to assure us that we really have nothing to ever worry about WHEN we keep Him first. I have a note in my Bible next to verse 33 that says "and He will handle everything else". God mentions physical needs here, but we know that God gives us peace of mind and strong emotional stability. When can He do this? When we keep Him first. This teaching is just plain simple, but so simple, we can miss it for years or for a lifetime if we so choose. IF we keep God first, God then gets more specific as to what we should do next and that is not to worry about the future, but to think only about one day at a time. This is truly the best way to live.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. - Matthew 6: 34

God is saying that if you keep Him first, you don't have to worry about tomorrow, but focus only on today. God says there is enough of the adversary's tricks and traps to avoid for one day. The best way to live is a day at a time - you've heard that before.

To help make things more clear, you need to know who you are dealing with every day. We are in a spiritual contest, although it may appear otherwise. God via His Word will teach you how your personal adversary operates because our competition is spiritual.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in [from on] high places. ['places' is in italics and can be omitted. It was added by the translators.]

We deal with the world rulers of the darkness of this age. Satan runs this world and he has one-third of the angels on his side. This makes up the devil spirit kingdom. It's nothing to be fearful of if you know and apply God's Word. One believer standing on God's Word can alter and counter anything that the adversary has planned. So remember the following and you should commit it to memory. It will help you.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [all the negatives]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. - I John 4: 4

The Spirit of God in Christ in you is greater than any devil spirit. God can show you how to counter all the moves of the adversary. He can give you information that is impossible to know by the five senses alone. This is referred to as Word of Knowledge and Word of Wisdom. These are two of nine manifestations (not gifts) of Holy Spirit and are known as the eyes and ears of the Church. Remember that the only thing that defeats the enemy is the rightly divided Word of God - BELIEVED AND APPLIED. Otherwise, the enemy will defeat you in all areas of your life. Oh, he may come on as an angel of light at first and whisper in your ear ' you really don't need that Word of God. Listen to me. I'll give you all the pleasure you could ever want'. And do you know how he will end his very well-rehearsed lie? 'If you will just bow down and worship me'.

That's just what he said and tried with Jesus Christ. And what did Jesus Christ do? HE QUOTED THE DEVIL SCRIPTURE!! The devil tried three (3) times and every time, Jesus Christ quoted him Scripture. WHY? Because Jesus Christ knew that this was the only thing that the enemy could not stand. Darkness cannot stand light. Satan is after the Word of God. If he can get rid of peoples' desire to get to know God, he can then steal, kill, and destroy with nothing in his way. But he mainly goes about this on an individual basis. In other words, everyone has a personal adversary. Satan is a parasite. But he keeps away from believers that know and apply the true God's Word. The enemy is running rampant in these last times. How many more people are left like myself? I see the power of God. It will make you shake. Do you have the integrity to keep God first? Yes, you may get quite a bit of tribulation at times but God says you can handle it. You may wonder so often why God isn't answering your prayers. It's because you need to take ACTION on what you are praying about. You need to get MOVING because that's when God moves. God moves when you move.

Remember James 2: 17 and 2: 26. ACT FIRST AND THEN YOU WILL SEE.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. - James 4: 8a
