By emb [Politics] This is the play on the Bernie Sanders campaign. I felt it months ago, but it's not what you may think. First a little back ground for you. Who is Bernie? Bernie Sanders, born in 1941, is serving his second term in the U.S. Senate after winning re-election in 2012 with 71 percent of the vote. His previous 16 years in the House of Representatives make him the longest serving independent member of Congress in American history. 'Sanders had big ideas but little impact on Capitol Hill. Democrats who worked with the Vermont senator say he contributed to the debate, but rarely forged actual legislation or left a significant imprint on it.' http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/bernies-record-220508 'The presidential campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders raised $232.1 million. The average donation was $28.95 Many resemble Emily Condit, 40 of Sylmar, who has contributed three times — $5 each — to the Vermont senator’s campaign. Condit, who has several physical disabilities, is among the largest single group of Sanders’ donors — those who don’t have a job. Of the $209 million given to the Vermont senator’s campaign, about one out of every four dollars came from those not in the workforce, who include the unemployed or retired. “Bernie Sanders is running on a platform to lift up the have-nots and to improve the system of government we have, so that no one will ever be left behind." - Condit Tweeted' http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-na-pol-sanders-donors/ I liken Sanders to Daddy Warbucks in the movie Annie. The people who support Bernie are like in the Annie song 'It's a hard luck life' and Bernie is their 'Granddad Warbucks'. Unlike the movie Annie though, Bernie is actually not out to help the people. Bernie is only out for himself. That's why I am feeling the burn! He kept taking money from low income people even when he knew there was no way he could beat the Queen Bee of the Democratic party. He kept plugging away and wouldn't concede to her. He kept taking the money from the people and giving it to fuel the rich Ad companies to further his campaign of folly. 'Sanders has spent a lot of time and energy convincing voters that Clinton had no place in the Oval Office. He said, 'Hillary Clinton isn't "qualified" to be president. 1 – “Are you qualified to be President of the United States when you’re raising millions of dollars from Wall Street whose greed, recklessness and illegal behavior helped to destroy our economy?” – Philadelphia rally, April 2016. 2 – “I proudly stood with the workers. Secretary Clinton stood with the big money interests” – Youngstown, Ohio March 14 3 – “Do I have a problem, when a sitting Secretary of State and a Foundation ran by her husband collects many millions of dollars from foreign governments, governments which are dictatorship… um yeah, do I have a problem with that? Yeah I do.” 4 – “She was very reluctant to come out in opposition. She is running for president. She concluded it was a good idea to oppose the TPP, and she did.” 5 – “Well, I don't think Hillary Clinton can lead a political revolution” https://www.rt.com/news/350861-sanders-clinton-campaign-quotes/ Now he reverses his 6 month attack on her and endorses the Queen Bee of the Democratic party becoming just another one of Hillary's worker drones much to the surprise and ire of his many loyal backers and supporters. Why the change? Actually, I saw this in his character a long time ago and it was why it so irritated me. Good old Bernie turned into an attention hound. A man addicted to the limelight. All those adoring cheers and chants and love cast at him from his fans day after day, week after week and month after month turned old Bernie into an addict for the attention. After he finally stepped down unable to keep sucking the poor peoples' money for support, like a junkie needing a fix he gave in. He threw away his own ethics, his morals, his word and went back to the limelight the only way he could - Through the very opponent that he had convinced his fans was unworthy to be our next President. So yeah. I am feeling the burn! I feel mad for all the people Bernie duped into his fold with his promises of pulling them out of their hard luck life by promoting socialism that has NEVER EVER worked for all the people through out history. The people were always left off worse than they were. Why? Because Socialism is not of God. When you have socialism you have a 'take from the rich and give to the poor' society that is in essence stealing from one group of people. People need to give by their own free will to the needy and not by being forced to give. Those who take all the time end up being hurt too. Society always ends up broke and extremely poor except for the top greedy rulers. Giving = Receiving is God's law. http://www.absolutebiblestudy.com/Promises/GIVING_EQUALS_RECEIVING.htm Bernie is just in it for his own selfish self. That's what burns me! -<>- >-->MEANWHILE AT THE DNC: >Black Lives Matter: Since we've recently been keeping track of high profile 'unarmed' black thugs and felons the police shoot and kill the DNC invited their moms on the stage to give condolences for the loss of their sons. During the Convention the crowd was chanting 'Black Lives Matter'. Lets look at the facts. Police killed more white people than any other race last year. A total 385 white people were killed by police and 66 of them were unarmed at the time of their death. http://tinyurl.com/ppjbomg If you are not aware of the training of a police officer, you should know that they are taught to shoot to kill just like a soldier is. They do not try to wound a criminal that is threatening them because a wounded person can still kill you. If the person is threatening them with anything that could be considered deadly, they are advised to shoot to kill them to stop the threat. It is their training that is what keeps them alive during life and death situations. They kill many more people than kill them. Which is why they are not ones to go up against. It is their job to protect society by ridding us of the lawless criminals around us. They are our first and often only line of defense when a killer is at large. They have to be alert without jumping the gun. That is where people get upset with them. People are people and react differently in situations. We hope the police officer's training will be automatic so his/her response will be a correct one. But it is not always the case. Watching the moms on stage at the DNC I felt sorrow for their loss but at the same time, I felt it not appropriate for the DNC to be highlighting them as if their sons were societies martyrs or heroes or innocent victims. As a mother myself of children who have never gotten into any trouble with the law, my thinking was why didn't you teach your sons to respect law and order and the police? If you had, they may not have been in harms way or even thought to resist being arrested and now be gone. I understand police are not perfect and they can overreact and do the unthinkable, but no officer in these cases, so far, has been found guilty of doing anything but his job. So that tells me that these people were doing the wrong thing to wind up dead at the hands of police. The bible teaches us to... Prov.22: [6] Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. We should ALL sit down with our little ones and let them know how they are to act with a police officer. Respect of the badge and the authority must be given or they put themselves in harms way. The officer is trained to keep himself and innocents alive! I thought racial segregation was long time gone in America, but apparently racism is rearing its ugly head again. 'Outside a BLM group organizer was yelling. "White media get to the back! Black media come to the front!" When white journalists didn't immediately comply, she singled one of them out. "Excuse me, sir!" she yelled. "Somebody needs to tell this person to get to the back. Go! Somebody needs to tell these folks to get to the back!" "We are not afraid to put people out! White people to the back! Black people to the front!"' Watch the shocking footage here. http://tinyurl.com/gqsdwwx Sometimes I think our country is going crazy but then I remember that God's Word tells us... 2 Tim.1 [7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. So that is why we have such goings on. God is the author of a sound mind and those without God act accordingly. Which brings us back to the unbelievable DNC where Ex-CIA chief Leon Panetta was on stage talking about how to deal with ISIS when the roaring crowd began chanting 'No more war!' and silenced him. http://tinyurl.com/j9gfm2w They want to allow ISIS to continue their barbaric beheading, burning people alive, raping and violence against woman and any who are not of their radical ISLAM belief. Crazy! Which brings me to a Watter's interview outside the DNC with a protestor for Bernie Sanders. When asked his view on ISIS his response was mind blowing! http://tinyurl.com/jgk5ht9 -<>- >From Our Friend Cloie :) Here's a little food for thought: BILL CLINTON'S LOVING WIFE --- by DICK MORRIS If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background, beware as I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone. I offer a few corrections: Bill says: "In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor." Facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in 'Law School' was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a 'Federal Agent.' She went to Court every day as part of a Law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal. Bill says: "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a Children's rights project for poor kids." Facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him. Bill says: "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers." Facts are: She flunked the D.C. bar exam, 'Yes', flunked it, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas, 'None', and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor. I'm through! I'll not take another step!" William threw his tired teenage body to the ground in the sparse shade of the first tree they had seen in several days. Caroline stood beside him anxiously, torn between love and loyalty for her older brother and the fact that the pioneer wagon train was moving on without them. She nudged him gently with her foot. "Come along, William. We don't want to fall behind." "I don't care. Let them go. I'll just stay here the rest of my life." "I shouldn't think that would be very long, since you have no food or blankets." "I don't care," William said, closing his eyes against the dust and heat and, perhaps, life itself. Then he added softly, "It's too far. I can't do it." Caroline was startled by what she was hearing from her brother. They had been through so much together -- their mother's death during childbirth in England; the family's immigration to America via a perilous ocean voyage during which their younger sister died; working with their father to build a new life for themselves in America; and then their father's accidental death just a few weeks before the start of the trek west. They had walked, side-by-side, every step of the way from New York to... well, wherever this place was. And through it all, William had been strong and courageous. Caroline had leaned on his strength, even come to depend upon it. But now, she had to be the strong one. "You can't leave me alone, William," she said. "Not now." "I'm not leaving you," William insisted. "I'm staying. If you go, you'll be leaving me." She paused a moment, watching the dust settle on the parched ground behind the last wagon as it rumbled up the trail. "All right," she said at last. "But at least walk with me the rest of the day. Then you can come back here, if you like." That seemed like a small request to William. Surely he could walk just one more day. It was the least he could do for Caroline. "One more day," he agreed. "Then I'm through." When he arose the next morning, Caroline wasn't in her blanket. He finally found her on a small rise just outside the camp. "See that hill off in the distance there?" she said as he approached her. He turned to look. "Yes," he said. "I see it." "I wish you would walk that far with me," she said. "Then you can go back to your tree." William continued looking at the hill. It didn't seem to be such a great distance. Surely he could walk with Caroline that far. She was, after all, his sister. "I'll walk with you to the hill," he agreed. "But no further." It took two days for the pioneer company to reach the hill, and by then Caroline was focused on a range of mountains looming out there on the western horizon. She persuaded her brother to walk with her "just that far." And then to a distant grove of trees beyond that. And then to the river beyond that. And then to the next range of mountains. And then, suddenly, their journey was over. Caroline had coaxed William into walking with her more than 1,000 miles. She didn't do it by convincing him to walk 1,000 miles all it once. She did it by urging him to walk with her one more day. Life often confronts us with journeys that seem long, and obstacles that appear to be overwhelming. It can be discouraging to look down the road at the enormity of the task before us and to consider all that needs to be done. We need to remember that we rarely accomplish any great thing all at once. Rather, we do it just as Caroline and William did. One hill, one river, one mountain at a time. -- Joseph Walker __________________________________________________ Joseph is a Heartwarmer Gem from Utah. =========================================================== >-->From Our Friend LouiseAu :) . + . . . . _ . . , /;-._,-.____ ,-----.__ (( . A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric-saw quit, and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. After opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward, he walked me to my car. We passed the tree, and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. "Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning, I pick them up again." "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before." APPLICATION: As Christians, we know that we've got something even better then a "trouble tree," we've got Jesus Christ, whom we can give all our daily burdens. And what's better, is we don't have to (and really shouldn't) take them back! Have a bad day at work? Give it over to Jesus who loves you, and let it go, and start fresh anew the next day. The more we give our burdens to Christ, the lighter our loads and the better our relationships with others. --- ...So True! Thanks LouiseAu! Mazzella How many of us at one time or another have wished that those fairy tales where true and that we could somehow find a magic lamp with a genie in it? How many of us have wished that we could have those three wishes that would change our lives? How many of us have wished that we could finally get all that money and all that stuff so that we could finally be happy? I hate to say it, but I was one of those genie wishers for a long time myself. I finally realized, however, that I didn’t need a genie in a lamp because I already had an angel in my mind. That angel had always been there trying to get my attention and show me the truth about life and love, but for a long time I was too busy wishing for a genie to hear him. I was waiting to get all of that stuff so that I could finally be happy. One glorious day, though, I finally heard what my angel had been whispering all those years. "More stuff isn’t going to make you happy. Being happy is going to make you happy." It was then that I realized that I wasn’t just taking the long way to joy, I was also taking the wrong way to joy. We don’t need a genie in a lamp to bring us joy. We don’t need three magic wishes to bring us happiness. All we need to do is listen to the angel in our minds. That angel is telling us everyday just how much God loves us and wants us to be happy. That angel is telling us everyday that we can choose love, joy, and oneness with God as well. That angel is telling us everyday that we are here to do God’s will by sharing that love and joy with the world. Shove the genie back in the lamp then. God didn’t bring you here to sit around waiting for your world to get better. God brought you here to make the world better yourself. Share your love, joy, talent, and energy with the world. Create your own happiness everyday with what you think, feel, and do. Listen to that angel in your mind and become an angel in your own life. -<>- ___ _..--"\ `|`""--.._ .-' \ | `'-. / \_|___...----'`\ |__,,..--""``(_)--..__ | '\ _.--'`.I._ ''--..' `''"`,#JGS/_|_\###,.--'` ,#' _.:`___`:-._'#, #' ,~'-;(oIo);-'~, '# # `~-( | )=~` # # | |_ | # # ; ._. ; # # _..-;|\ - /|;-._ # #-' /_ \\_// _\ '-# /`# ; /__\-'__\; #`\ ; #\.--| |O O |'-./# ; |__#/ \ _;O__O___/ \#__| | #\ [I_[_]__I] /# | \_(# ; |O O ; #)_/ | | | | ; | | | | ; | | | | | | | ; | | | '-.;____..-' | || | |__||__| [__][__] .-'-.||.-'-. (___.' '.___) >Ideas, Inventions Bill Walker wildbill6807@yahoo.com Where would we be without people that had some idea, some dream of some kind, an invention of something that made life better. There is many of these ideas, inventions, that in a way just happened by accident. I have been told many things, well the thing is already in front of us, but someone just thought of a new use for it. I wonder how some of the old timers now gone on thinks about something they started up and now is in heavy use. A couple names jump out in my mind. One is Henry Ford. Now old Henry never invented the car, Heavens no, he just thought of a better idea. I have an old book laying around some where, in the book is a long list of names of cars, I mean pages of names. You see way back there, one could order the parts, and out in the shed, or barn put together a thing called an horseless buggy. Lots was just a buggy of sorts with a engine, and other things to make it roll with out a horse. Most ended up with a horse pulling it home when it stopped running. Now these horseless buggies would have the name of the maker. Who ever put the parts together, a name he would call this car. His name might be Walker. It was a Walker car. Some times all had to get out and walk beside the blasted thing up a hill. That car was a Walker. Now some one might turn out more then one of these horseless buggies. Sold them about town. There was a couple brothers, Dodge was the name, they was cranking out a few. A guy by the name of Ford was working there in the barn helping put these moving junk piles together, he had an idea. The way a car was made was a few would be building one car, each car was hand made you might say. Henry had a better idea. Make some kind of line, the car rolls along and each man or what ever it takes adds something to this moving car. Turn out more at a less cost also. Instead of a car or two in so much time, be more moving junk piles rolling out the door. Now I think Henry at first was doing it the old way, then he got to thinking, that is when he started making his first Fords. He also had another idea. These cars was at a cost few could buy, most just wished. Henry came out with the Model T, why one was rolling out the door one right after another, and at a cheaper price then the Dodge boys. Why buy a Model T, it comes with automatic transmission also. Yes Henry Ford made a crude automatic transmission, came with no added cost. His early pitch was make a car, any one making a good pay check, a common worker that is, could get together the money to buy a Ford. Didn't have to be just the upper crust that could buy a car now. A car a farmer could put things in and go to town to sell. A car a man could take a Sunday drive in at little cost. Fuel to run the thing was cheap. Few pennies a gallon. Thing maybe got 10 miles to the gallon, so it cost you a dime to go 10 miles. Man that a mile for a penny. Might have to rent a horse to get it home,, that might be a little problem. Back in those days about anyone with a little brain could tinker with one and get it to run. These things also came with a crank. You needed a strong arm to crank the engine. There fore the saying will your car crank came into being. Yea it will crank if my arm holds out. You know that was a good thing, not to many women drivers on the road. I guess the gals then that wanted to take the car for a spin, maybe did what most do today. Show a little ankle, some guy would maybe crank the car for them. Now you get the whole two leg look. Showing ankle isn't enough. That is if the sweet young thing has need of a man to help get this thing to run. I did know of one that would show lot of leg to get some guy to back her Dodge truck pulling a trailer. I can just hear old Henry Ford today. You guys got the price of MY FORD, how much? Who can pay that kind of money? And the price of fuel, how much? What has happened to my idea? My idea was a car a common man could buy, and run it for pennies. -<>- >Links for Your Enjoyment: Last Day! http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/lastday.html Who Is This Jesus? http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/jesus.html Amazing Trivia Facts UK! http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/triviafactsuk.html Singapore's Sky Park!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/skypark.html Most Unique Trees 2!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/uniquetrees2.html Rarely Seen Things 2!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/rarelyseen2.html World's Fastest Plane!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/fastestplane.html Celebrity Private Jets!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/celebrityjets.html Amazing Human Body!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/humanbody.html Moses And The Red Sea!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/mosesredsea.html Beautiful Photo Winners!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/photowinners.html Beautiful Aerial England!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/england.html Beautiful Rare Flowers 2!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/rareflowers2.html Amazing Human Progress 2!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/humanprogress2.html Growing Fruits And Veggies!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/fruitsandveggies.html Secrets Of The Secret Service!- http://www.shangralafamilyfun.com/secrets.html -<>- >Please Visit This Link to Get New Traffic For Shangrala :) Fun Pages http://www.funpageexchange.com/go.php?uid=3559 -<>- >Follow Me On StumbleUpon: http://tinyurl.com/jewn5ou -<>- >From Our Friend LilyS :) Have you all seen the news report that Yahoo has been sold to Verizon?? ?No mention yet as just what they are going to do with it and if groups would remain or not. http://tinyurl.com/hrqjghp --- ...Nope. I was one of three women in an office of 20 people. Jack, the owner, was a nice old man who was rather dapper in appearance. Some employees regarded him as a mere figurehead, someone who didn't want to retire. Yet, Jack opened his house each summer for a company picnic and generally was like a grandfather to everyone. He and his wife took my husband and I to the opera, which was a new experience for us as we were newlyweds and never did anything more exotic than dinner and a movie. All of his employees were treated as family. My job was to make certain that everyone had the supplies they needed, that photographs leaving the studio were perfect and to generally act as support to the photographers. One elderly gentleman had worked at the studio for decades and was well loved. He worked in a small room and remained there most of the day as he had been struck by polio as a child, and had limited use of his legs. He got around slowly on crutches, but had difficulty carrying anything that couldn't be in a bag, so I often checked on him to see if he needed anything. Usually he just requested coffee. One day this man must have been ill and needed to get to the restroom facilities, but he couldn't reach them in time. This resulted in an overwhelming mess. No doubt he was beyond embarrassed; he left the building before anyone discovered the mess. As the employee who generally took care of the place, I knew I would be expected to clean it up. I was prepared to quit and leave the building myself rather than go anywhere near it. Jack came in to see what the ruckus was about. After surveying the scene and without hesitation or saying a word, he rolled up the sleeves of his custom-made shirt and cleaned up after his friend. After that I knew Jack would never ask me to do anything that he wouldn't do himself. I took that lesson and applied it to many situations in my life. I have pitched in and helped when I easily could have delegated tasks to employees. I have not been afraid to get my hands dirty, and have in turn earned respect from my friends and coworkers when I've jumped in and tackled unpleasant tasks. I will never forget the kindness and support Jack demonstrated that day. =======HeroicStories======= >-->From Kidwarmers: .--._ .'""""-t--. /_. .-._ \ `. __.-. :/o: "o.` ; .'\.-" .--."-._ . /; ; :/ _;. When Caitlyn was in the first grade she came home with some math homework. She read to her mother a question that said there were two children in the back seat of the car and one child in the front seat. "How many children are in the car," the homework problem asked. Before answering, Caitlyn asked, "Mom, is there an airbag in the car?" Her mother replied, "I don't know. Why?" Caitlyn continued, "Because if there is an airbag, then the child in the front seat can't be sitting there!" -- Cindy Whitton (mother of Caitlyn) of Wawaka, Indiana Cathy really wants a pear tree. She loves their beautiful white flowers when they bloom. Every time she sees one she says aloud, "I really want a pear tree." Cali, 3, has heard her say that a million times. They were playing outdoors and Cali brought Cathy a weed that was dead and turned white. She said, "Here Momma, here is a little tiny pear tree for you." Then they climbed onto the back of the couch, jumped off onto the couch (where the cushions used to be) and then onto the cushions on the floor. Shawn rode back to Nashville with his Aunt Melissa. Along the way, he announced to her that he needed to have a poop. She told him she would stop at the next McDonalds, and she wanted him to do a courtesy flush. He asked what that was. She told him when he was half-way through, flush, so that it does not smell bad.
