- - - D A T E P U D D I N G D E S S E R T - - - FILLING 1 Small Box pitted dates 1 1/2 Cup White Sugar 3 T. All Purpose White Flour 3 Cups Water couple shakes of salt Cook the above on stove over med. heat until it is medium thick. CRUST: 1 1/2 Cup Quaker Rolled Oates 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose White Flour 1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar 1 tsp. Baking Soda 1/2 Cup (1 stick) SOFT but NOT melted Parkay oleo 1 T. Vanilla Combine the above together in a large bowl. CRUMB Together by rubbing the mixture between your hands to remove all lumps - IT MUST BE REAL FINE. SPREAD a thick layer of crumb mixture on the bottom of a WELL GREASED OBLONG baking pan to form the bottom of the pudding crust. BE sure to Save enough for a thin layer to cover the top. POUR the filling mixture evenly onto the crust. Top with the left over crumbs. BAKE at 350 degree until golden brown. Let completely cool.
