Add lemon juice and a few grains salt. Beat until well blended. ---- HARD FRUIT SAUCE ---- 1/4 Cup butter or oleo 1 Cup Powdered sugar 1 T. Cream 1 Cup Crushed fruit Cream butter or oleo, Add sugar slowly; beating constantly. Add cream. Add slowly, beating constantly 1 Cup well drained canned strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, or apricots. NOTE: Hard sauce can be served with such foods as steamed puddings, gingerbread, and minced pie. Hard Fruit Sauce may be served with such foods as cottage pudding, cake, bread pudding, and steamed pudding.
