>------------> Microwave Lasagna <------------< 2 lb Ground Chuck Hamburger 1/2 roll Sausage 1/2 package regular Lasagna Pasta (9 Lasagna sticks) 2 cups shredded Mozzarella pizza cheese 2 cups shredded Mexican style cheese 1 lb. of yellow Colby cheese - cut into slices. 1 large Jar Prego Spaghetti Sauce 1 Tblsp Oil Ground thyme, Onion Powder, Black Pepper In a Large Pan add water to 3/4 full. Add oil and several dashes of salt to water. Set on stove on high. In A Large Skillet: cook hamburger and sausage until done. Season with generous thyme, moderate onion powder, and a little pepper. Drain well. When water is boiling rapidly, add the Lasagna. Stir now and then. When Lasagna is done, drain, rinse and leave in drainer to cool. In A Large 16 Cup pyrex Glass Bowl: FIRST LAYER: Spoon sauce to cover small amount of the bottom of bowl. Lay 2 Lasagna removing 1/4th of each (so as not up the side of the bowl) to cover all the sauce. Spoon sauce covering all the Lasagna. Sprinkle Mexican cheese lightly over the sauce. Moderately cover cheese with hamburger mixture. Sprinkle Mexican cheese over hamburger. NEXT LAYER: Lay 3 Lasagna removing 1/4th of each to cover all the sauce. Spoon sauce to cover the Lasagna. Sprinkle rest of Mexican cheese over the sauce. Moderately cover cheese with hamburger mixture. Use colby slices to completely cover the hamburger. LAST LAYER: Lay 4 Lasagna removing 1/4th of each to cover all of the sauce. Spoon sauce to cover the Lasagna. (You will have about 1 inch of sauce left in jar) Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Cover cheese with rest of hamburger mixture. Use the rest of the Mozzarella cheese to cover the hamburger. Place in center of Microwave. Cook on high for 18 mins. If cheese is shiny or sauce not rapidly bubbling then cook additional mins. to allow for all the cheese to get cooked. Let stand a few mins. Note: Microwave ovens vary: Those with low microwaves will need to cook close to twice as long. If your microwave does not automatically turn the food then you will need to turn the bowl manually about every 5-10 mins. for more even cooking and may take additional time too. WARNING: USE Pot holders - Bowl will be VERY HOT! Place bowl on pot holder. Use a sharp knife to cut like a pie into 8 pie slices. Use a big serving spoon to scoop out the desired amount.
