>--> STROGONOFF: THAT HAMBURGER THING From Lynne Hart <--< This is a great versatile family recipe that is delicious over rice or noodles. You can vary it by changing the soup or adding spagetti sauce instead of soup, but we prefer the mushroom soup strogonoff version. Heat one pound of lean hamburger with onions in pan just until no longer pink. If necessary add a little water while heating. Once drained, add about 1/3 cup water with a bouillion cube dissolved in it. Add some garlic salt to taste. Add a can of mushrooms, drained, and a can of mushroom soup. Add water or milk until you get the consistency you want. You can add a little cornstarch and water mix if you want the gravy to be thicker, or it you need to stretch the recipe. Stir in about 2 tbsp. of sour cream (optional). Add salt and pepper to taste and serve over cooked rice or noodles.
