>-------> 1957 OLD-FASHIONED SUGAR COOKIES <------< 3 Cups Sifted Flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs well beaten 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 T. dairy sour cream In a large bowl, cream butter, add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract. MIX thoroughly. Dissolve Soda in sour cream and add to mixture. Combine and add the flour and salt. Chill Dough for 2 hours. Roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board and cut with floured cooky cutters. Place on lightly greased cooky sheet and sprinkle with white or colored sugar. Bake in 400F oven for 7 minutes.
