SHANGRALA'S
GRAND CANYON SKYWALK!
The glass-bottomed skywalk over the south rim of the Grand Canyon is absolutely awesome!
The walkway extends 70 feet out from the rim, offering paying visitors a walk out on glass
for a breath taking view 4,000 feet down to the bottom of the Canyon. It opened March 20,
2007 with former astronaut Buzz Aldrin taking the first giant leap over the lip of the great
Grand Canyon. Thus paving the way for an all new family fun adventure.

The original glass walkway was made from low iron glass and was four inches
thick. In 2011, a new walkway was installed with
five layers of glass which is only 2.5 inches thick. In comparison, most glass jars wholesale are only one or two ounces thick.
